I was going to do an update today - just got to work.

Things have progressed since I sent this out - they transferred Waymon to Folsom (A Facility - where he was at when they booted him to Mule Creek supposedly for threatening someone - based on a letter I wrote - it was an excuse to get him
out of Folsom).  Anyway, due to the letter & my phone calls to Calvin Smith telling him (on voice mail - since mr chicken didn't have the guts to contact me - he also left a digit off of his extension number so I had to run around (via phone) to find the real extension number to leave the message - these people are truly works of art) that I would contact the media if this situation was not corrected - they bum-rushed him to Folsom the day they received their copies of Waymon's letter.  It seems that Vacaville is
supposedly no longer a medical facility (I think they're lying & will check it out for myself by calling someone who will tell the truth) - so cdc (downtown) ordered them to open up a section of ad-seg as a supposed hospital to accommodate Waymon.  When they first moved him, he got someone to call & tell me that he would have visits (Friday before last 8/30) - I went up on
Friday - they expeditiously processed me all the way into the visitor's room at A Facility (I mean expeditiously - knew something was wrong by that)  - I get up to the visiting room only to be informed by c/o till (who's the jackass that insinuated Waymon was attempting to get Bryan to (pardon my french-don't know how to put it any nicer) suck his dick!! - we went rounds on that let me tell you - and people wonder why I hate these deviant creatures that I have named cockroaches)  that Waymon's doctor ordered him not to have visits - as soon as I called till on that by telling him "don't go there with me,  till, we have history & I know for a fact that Waymon's doctor would not order him to not have visits - that this you people's ridiculous policy" he promptly changed his story & said "oh that's not what I meant, I meant that the doctor would have to order the visits" - I said "yeah right" and they escorted out of visiting - I went to the processing center, received a denial slip & went home.  That night (Saturday, 8/31) someone called for Waymon to see if I was coming to visit (even though I had been assured by some 5-6
cockroaches that he would be told that I was there) - the person that called told me that they had told Waymon that he was allowed to visit & special accommodation were made for the visit for hospital prisoners. I attempted to make contact with Terry Rosario (Acting Warden) to no avail.  Waymon then was able to call me on Friday night (9/6) to tell me that everything had been cleared for him to visit; that the doctor had been adamant that he be allowed the visits for his recovery period; several higher ranking corrections employees assured him I would get to visit - to include the visiting sergeant & lieutenant.  I went up on Saturday (9/7), waited in line (no expeditious treatment this time!) for an extended length of time - when I get to the counter I am informed by the sergeant there that even though he's been approved for visits, I should have made an appointment but that he was going to squeeze me in for today & I could make an appointment for up to 7 days in advance.  I told him that "you people are really something else - the man has had major/invasive surgery & you are treating him like he has done something
deserving of being punished" the sgt told me he doesn't make the rules merely follows them.  I said "whatever" & took my ID - thinking that I was getting on the bus that was leaving right then.  The sgt said just have a seat & we'll call his name when it is your turn.  When they called for the next bus - they didn't call Waymon's name - now mind you I am sitting right in front of the
c/o who is calling the names - when he didn't call Waymon's name & started to head to the bus - I went up & said to the sgt - why wasn't I called (mind you the visits are only 1-1/2hours long on appointment) he said I must not have heard Waymon's name - I said he didn't call Waymon's name - he sent a c/o to check & true enough my slip had been conveniently hidden at the bottom of the little box they keep the slips in (hoping I would give up & go away & not have the courage to question these out of control cockroaches?!?! Yeah Right!!)

Anyway, I finally got into the visiting room to ask the desk c/o what window I had - till was absent at the desk this time - the cockroach made the mistake of asking me how I was doing - I told him that I was not a happy camper due to the games that you people play.  He started to argue that they had their process & everyone had to follow it - I said yeah right what window do
you want me at?  Finally he put me at the window furthest from the desk.  Waymon showed up a few minutes later escorted by till.  I was extremely irritated (MAD) by this time & told Waymon that.

We visited on a monitored phone with glass between us for approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours with till walking by every few minutes & looking right at us - I told Waymon that we must be the absolutely most interesting thing in the room since he had nothing better to look at.

I left visiting without incident.  However during our visit I got the rest of the story with regard to Thurman (who would not let him use the toilet):

It seems that Waymon was moved back to Mule Creek and sent to the so-called emergency room where there was not bathroom or toilet.  They had been feeding him suppositories to soften his stool for close to a week because they had taken all of his intestines out of his body to perform the surgery & the stool softening was to wake up (so to speak) the intestines once they were back in place.  Anyway, when Waymon said he needed to go to the bathroom - the nurse & the c/o said he
could do #1 but #2 was out of the question due to their being absolutely no accommodations.  Waymon held it for as long as he could & finally told them that he had to go due to the stool softeners - the so-called nurse once again said their was no accommodation (I will digress here & tell you that right outside the emergency room - their are numerous holding cells for prisoners awaiting medical appts & at least one staff bathroom & one prisoner bathroom in the hallway right out side the emergency room).  Instead they called over to receiving & release, which is where c/o thurman  was - she said that there were toilets but gave no indication that she was not going to allow Waymon to use one of them - Waymon has never sued thurman but did complain when she inappropriately talked to him about her choice in men.  Anyway, they help Waymon off the guerney & give him a cane to walk to the R&R room - when he got about 100 yards from the entrance the captain (lt?) yelled for them to stop - that Waymon was not allowed in R&R because he had a pending lawsuit against thurman & she would not be comfortable with him being in R&R - the c/o with Waymon & the (Capt) got into a heated argument because the c/o knew Waymon had to go badly.  Waymon was so weak by this time that he finally said, I need to lay down or I am going to pass out - the capt said don't you dare lie down - take him back to the emergency room.  They went back into the emergency room & helped him back on the guerney while they decided what they would do with him.

Finally they decided to put him in "A" Facility (Mule Creek) & told him to get off the guerney without offering to help him off the guerney - he said I can't get off the guerney they said are you refusing an order, he said call it what you want I can't get off the guerney.

They decided to wheel him on the guerney & took the guerney as fast & as rough as they could - Waymon told them you need to slow down you are hurting me - they basically ignored his requests.

When they got him to the single cell (which had debris all over it - feces on the walls - due to a psychotropically medicated prisoner having previously occupied the cell - they order Waymon off the guerney again - Waymon, again told them I can't get off the guerney, they again asked if he was refusing an order - he again said call it what you want I can't get off the guerney.  They then called the supposed MTA over & she said you need to get off the guerney because the guerney would not fit in the cell - he said again I can't get off the guerney - she said are you disobeying an order to get off the guerney.  Waymon finally
said I didn't get on the guerney by myself because I can't get on without help - therefore, I can't get off without help.  The MTA then ordered the c/o's present to help Waymon off the guerney & onto the bed - which they did very roughly.

They threw a couple of sheets on the bunk & found out that Waymon had defecated on himself & the guerney - the MTA asked why & Waymon explained the whole scenario.  He said I am going to need help to clean myself - they said no way & locked
him in the cell to clean himself by himself with two gaping holes in his stomach & his back.  He took one of the sheets & sanitized the soap in the sink by shaving the outer layer & cleaned himself as best he could.  He attempted to get help & medication & all of the cockroaches that were sitting at the desk with their feet up on the desk talking & laughing chose to ignore Waymon for some 20 hours (no pain meds, no cleansing of the wounds, no sanitation in the cell - nothing).

I have talked to Waymon about what further intervention needs to be made on his behalf & at this point he is kind of at a loss (as am I) because he now has a hospital bed - they are allowing him the walks he needs - & they are supplying him with medication - although they have usurped the doctors orders by giving him Morphine (very constipating) versus the Norco
(non-constipating) that the doctor prescribed. So I guess not only are they cockroaches - they now have their pharmaseutical degrees.  He said that he doesn't know if it could get better but knows it could get worse - so again we are at a loss right now about what to do with respect to his treatment.

I am all for him going back to the hospital because at least there he was treated humanely & got the meds he needed & staff at the hospital did not put up with any of the cockroach's b/s - for instance Waymon was told by the nurse to pick his menus & pick as much & many as he desired due to them trying to get his system built back up - when Waymon filled out his menus he fell asleep & the cockroach on duty changed all his quantities & some of his choices.  When the nurse saw the changes she questioned Waymon & he said he hadn't changed anything - the nurse read the cockroach the riot act & the cockroach tried to explain it by saying that the food Waymon chose was not his issue & he would not be allowed unlimited quantities at the prison.  Thank God the nurse (Jennifer) had the courage to tell the cockroach, this isn't the prison & I don't work for corrections & you are illegally interferring with prescribed medical care - don't do it again!!

Additionally, when the nurse was having a conversation with Waymon, this same cockroach butted in & said the nurse was not allowed to have conversations with Waymon it was against CDC rules - the nurse again lit into the cockroach & told him she was going to talk to his supervisor since he didn't seem to understand that she doesn't work for cdc & that medical care in a
neurology ward supercedes any of cdc's rules & that if he didn't stop interferring with Waymon's care, she would see about him not only being barred from the premises but getting his walking papers from cdc.  So it is nice to know that there are still people in society who don't cowtow to corrections.

Again, I do not know where to go from here, Waymon & I have decided that we will visit on the phone by him calling me so he doesn't have to be subjected to the hard stools they force him to sit on.  If he gets contact visits on the softer visitor chairs, Bryan & I will go see him - if not we will do telephone visits until he leaves & goes back to Mule Creek.

R. Heimrich never got back to me - which is something I am getting very used to - people who don't do the right thing don't like to respond to me as a rule because they know I am asking them to do the right thing & that is against their nature apparently.

Funny, I can't think of ol' alameida's name either although I believe it is George.   CDC's address is 1515 S ST Sac CA  95814

I believe that letters showing support for Waymon being treated humanely would not so much fall on deaf ears if sent to Alameida & Terry Rosario, Warden, (A), CSP-Sacramento, PO Box 29, Represa CA  95671 while he is at Folsom & then to Mike Knowles, Warden, Mule Creek State Prison, PO Box 409000, Ione CA  95640 for when he returns to Mule Creek in approximately 11-12 weeks from now.

I don't know about the AMA or the CMA (California Medical Association) because in the past, they as the health department does, defer everything back to corrections for remedy - most agencies don't want to take the cdc bull by the horns.

I think I have explained everything that I can think of - if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask - I really appreciate your caring & concern - it is very comforting when things get like this.

Take Care.
